There are no words to describe the amazingness that the Mexican cuisine has provided me. The simplest dishes were beyond delicious. Many of them I hadn't tried before since Kosovar cuisine is particularly far from that of Mexico and Central America. What I was fascinated by was the unbelievable range of food options that were available. Even by the end of my summer there, I would look at a menu and not know what half of the dishes even were. I happened to visit Puebla near the end of my trip, a city not far from the capital, and was surprised that I only would recognize maybe half-a-dozen items in a long menu. Though, with the advice of my friends there, I tried many of the main dishes from different regions. In Oaxaca, I had some of the most amazing mole. In Taxco, I had the tastiest and spiciest salsa. While, in Mexico City, a sort of hub of cuisine, I managed to have some beautiful and delicious food from different cities I never managed to visit. A particular experience worth mentioning was when I went camping with Mexican friends, and had the Mexican camping food experience: much better than just a sad sandwich.
