WHO IS MELOS

Melos is a fourth year student at the University of Florida, College of Design Construction and Planning, majoring in Architecture with a certificate in AI Fundamentals and Applications. He is an alumnus of the United World College of the Adriatic, where he developed the cosmopolitan politics that are the basis of his endeavors. Being from the Republic of Kosovo and coming of age in a post-war environment, he grew interested in public crisis resolution and community organizations. Due to the climate crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, he began to focus his efforts in public health and the built environment. His journey with SHARE Lab began by exploring how AI can be applied to research that tackles the HIV epidemic. In the future, he is interested in further exploring the impact that data from the built environment can have on creating a more resilient and sustainable public health environment. He strives to have an impact on the lives of working people by critiquing and improving existing systems.
