Maybe this is because it was summer and sun was not lacking, but I don't think I have ever lived in a more cheerful place. There were colors in every corner, meticulously arranged and professionally articulated. This value put on color, brightness, and saturation brought many beautiful pictures and memories from the experience. There are so many places and memories that I associate with particular colors, each slightly different from one another. The color in art was incomparable to pieces I had seen before. I was fortunate to visit an exhibition by one of my favorite color artists, Ana Montiel. I went to numerous exhibitions where I saw artisanal contemporary art, where beads were placed in intricate patterns all culminating into bright pops of colors. I also saw beautiful fabrics and clothing, with stitching that made the most minimalist design fascinating. The work of the Mexican Muralists, that I had been enamored by for a long time, was at a scale which I couldn't understand on screens. Lastly, I saw some beautiful colors for the Mexico City Pride parade, where more than 300,000 thousand people were in the street, bright in rainbows.
